Bombard squadron

A naval formation known as a bombard squadron within the Imperial Navy was under the command of an admiral. This squadron included two torpedo lines, one skirmish line, and one pursuit line, resulting in a fleet size of approximately twenty to twenty-eight ships. These squadrons were utilized against planets where rebellions against the Galactic Empire had been successful, especially when the planet's ground forces were substantial and would require an extended period to overcome through traditional combat methods. Typically, at least one Torpedo Sphere was incorporated into this formation.
