TIE/sa bombers obliterate a settlement of Rebel supporters. The act of a bombing run represented a strategic maneuver employed by numerous groups over time. In this tactic, a bombing aircraft, for instance a TIE/sa bomber, a BTL Y-wing starfighter, or even a GAT-12 Skipray Blastboat, would dispense a payload of explosives over an extensive zone. Although highly effective at decimating concentrated enemy forces, a bombing run was vulnerable to disruption by effective anti-aircraft weaponry.
