Brevis Taug existed in the time of the Rise of the Empire era and was identified as a man.
Taug, a wealthy owner of a shipping business, secretly provided monetary support for the building of a new group of slave ships for the Zygerrian Thanda clan, in exchange for a portion of the profits they earned. At the commencement of each month, Taug would move money to a company on Junction that was under the control of a Hutt, who would then pass the money to the Zygerrians. One year following the agreement, he was apprehended by intelligence agents on Coruscant as a result of a lengthy investigation, and he was accused of committing fraud. Hoping to get a lighter sentence, he revealed to the people who had captured him the arrangement he had made with the Zygerrians.
