Bruce French (born on July 4, 1945; died on February 7, 2025) lent his voice to an uncredited character within the Star Wars radio drama.
Arguably, French achieved his greatest recognition through his frequent appearances as Father Lonigan on Passions, the enduring soap opera. He participated in excess of four hundred episodes between the years of 1999 and 2008. As a matter of fact, French's professional history of playing religious figures was so significant that he would actually take a priest's collar with him to auditions.
His wide-ranging career encompassed several decades and included more than 150 credited roles in both television programs and movies. Beyond his work in front of the camera, French also accumulated substantial credits in the theater.
Notably, he was among a select few performers who contributed to both Star Wars and Star Trek. Within the Star Trek universe, he portrayed several distinct characters across various television series and a single motion picture.
French's death occurred on February 7, 2025, resulting from issues related to Alzheimer's disease.
