The head of this division was the [Master Torturer]; Sir Vengnar Heiff occupied this role in the year 0 ABY. A droid compelled Han Solo to agree to a binding document, thereby granting Lord Vader the explicit authority to torture him until death. In 7 ABY, during the liberation of Coruscant, the President of this subsection was assassinated by members of the New Republic.
