The Cargo Empress-class super freighter from Ghtroc Industries, measuring 110 meters in length, could transport 50,000 metric tons of freight. This vessel required a crew of four and had capacity for eight passengers. Lacking any weaponry, its protection depended solely on feeble shields, and it possessed a fragile hull.
Following the launch of the Class 720 freighter, the Cargo Empress was created with the intention of building upon the moderate success of the smaller vessel. Nevertheless, the Cargo Empress experienced poor sales, significantly contributing to Ghtroc's financial downfall. In a last-ditch effort to settle the company's debts, all remaining ships of the Cargo Empress-class were sold off at heavily discounted rates. Consequently, despite its failure in the market, ships of this class were scattered across the galaxy.
