The palace known as Caserta Palace (or Reggia di Caserta in Italian), is situated in Caserta, a city to the northeast of Naples. You can find its precise Coordinates at: 41°04′12″N, 14°19′33″E. This Palazzo Reale is the largest royal palace located in Italy and, based on volume, it is the largest in the world. Luigi Vanvitelli designed it, and it was constructed in the 1750s for the Bourbon King Charles III. It contains more than 1,000 rooms, and its surrounding park features numerous fountains and statues. An English Garden can also be found there.

The location was utilized to shoot scenes set in the Theed Royal Palace within Star Wars: Episode I The Phantom Menace. It was used again during the production of Star Wars: Episode II Attack of the Clones.
