Caul Gentis

Caul Gentis, an Imperial cadet at Raithal Academy, was a male Human who journeyed to Coruscant for his graduation in 19 BBY. Notably, he was the final living son of Headmaster Gentis.

Biography

Laurita Tohm considered Caul a friend, and Caul frequently urged Tohm to embrace a more relaxed approach to life. Unbeknownst to Tohm, Caul was secretly involved in Headmaster Gentis's rebellious plot. To prevent Tohm from interfering with their assault on the Imperial Palace, Caul, together with co-conspirator Shens, confined Tohm within an Imperial starfighter prototype. Subsequently, Caul stood beside Gentis during the attempt to enlist an Imperial General into their coup, even going so far as to hold a blaster against the general's back.

Later, Caul engaged in the battle between the cadets and Vader's newly arrived forces. Tragically, Tohm shot him; Tohm cruelly spoke his name to lower his defenses, exploiting Caul's misplaced trust. Gentis, his father, grieved over his son's passing. As Gentis held his dead son, Palpatine swiftly punished him for his rebellion by incinerating both father and son with Force lightning, leaving behind only charred remains.
