CB-99 served as a droid utilized by Jabba Desilijic Tiure to safeguard his will. Following his death, which occurred not long before the Battle of Endor, Jabba's father, Zorba Desilijic Tiure, employed the droid to recover Jabba's will and all of his possessions.
