Cecil Vane, a Human entrepreneur, was the operator of The Credit Chip casino situated above Brentaal IV. Despite the casino's built-in advantage of acquiring more credits than its customers, Vane had a reputation for running an honest establishment, and was never personally implicated in any cheating schemes. This all shifted, though, when the Galactic Empire rose to dominance; Vane, increasingly dissatisfied with the Empire's presence, started to rig games against Imperial gamblers.
