Central Core Shaft

The Central Core Shaft existed as a place on the DS-1 Orbital Battle Station. In the course of her rescue, Luke Skywalker and Princess Leia Organa employed a grappling hook to traverse the wide gap. It met its end, along with the entire battle station, during the Battle of Yavin.
