Biography
Chamberlyn, a Human, served within the volunteer ranks of the Royal Naboo Security Forces on the planet of Naboo. By 32 BBY, Chamberlyn had achieved the rank of lieutenant. In that year, Naboo faced invasion by the Trade Federation's army of battle droids, compelling Queen Padmé Amidala to seek refuge on Coruscant, the galactic capital. Following the Queen's departure, Chamberlyn emerged as a pivotal figure within the resistance cells combating the invading forces. Upon Amidala's return to Naboo with the determination to liberate the planet, Captain Quarsh Panaka, the leader of the RNSF, united all resistance fighters for an assault on Theed, the capital city. Amidala's objective was to capture Nute Gunray, the Federation's Viceroy, thereby ending the Federation's occupation. Chamberlyn subsequently joined the Queen in an attack on the Theed Royal Palace.
As Amidala, Panaka, Chamberlyn, and a contingent of Royal Guards advanced through the palace, they encountered a detachment of battle droids. In an attempt to outmaneuver the droids, Panaka utilized his blaster to shatter a nearby window. Subsequently, he, along with the Queen, Chamberlyn, and several other RNSF members, scaled the windowsill and employed their ascension guns to reach an elevated level of the Palace. However, as the group proceeded through a corridor, they found themselves surrounded by a multitude of battle droids, prompting Amidala to instruct her forces to surrender their weapons. Chamberlyn and the other guards were escorted to the Palace's throne room, where Gunray attempted to coerce the Queen into signing a treaty that would legitimize the Federation's occupation of Naboo. At that critical moment, one of Amidala's handmaidens, Sabé, disguised as the Queen and leading a group of guards, appeared in a corridor leading to the throne room. Declaring an end to Gunray's occupation, Sabé and her forces launched an attack on Gunray's battle droids, prompting the Viceroy, mistaking Sabé for the real Queen, to dispatch the majority of his forces after her.
This diversion allowed Amidala to access a hidden compartment within her throne and retrieve a pair of concealed blasters, which she and Panaka utilized to eliminate the remaining droids. Chamberlyn and the other guards present then secured the door to the throne room, rearmed themselves with the blasters of the fallen battle droids, and took Gunray and his aide Rune Haako into custody. Simultaneously, the Federation's droid control ship was destroyed during a concurrent space battle by Anakin Skywalker, a young Force-sensitive individual, resulting in the deactivation of all battle droids on Naboo and the liberation of the planet.
