Choreamnos

The choreamnos can be described as an idle, tree-dwelling creature. Their movements were minimal, generally only occurring when reaching for foliage on nearby limbs.

Several of these beings were held in confinement aboard the Starhunter Dhelba, until its unfortunate demise on Endor, leading to the species' introduction to that world. On Endor, they were commonly called the blasé tree goat, a name derived from their tendency to dangle upside down within the blasé trees. They served as a provider of both flesh and milk.

Behind the scenes

The choreamnos, as the name suggests, was conceived by merging attributes of the real-world goat and sloth. The moniker was crafted by Robin Pronovost, who blended "Choloepus"—the scientific designation for the two-toed sloth genus, meaning "crippled foot"—with "amnos," the term for "goat." The spelling of the resulting word was modified to improve its ease of pronunciation.
