Gamorreans who achieved marital status within their respective clans were known as clan boars. These individuals held positions of significance and esteem, benefiting from revenue generated by their spouses' land holdings. They constituted the primary fighting force of the clan's military as well as the clan-guard. A clan boar's ambition to ascend to the position of warlord was generally unattainable unless the boar's spouse passed away and they then took a matron as a new wife, or unless the current wife inherited a matronage.
