Mines that were hidden from sight, known as cloaked mines, utilized a cloaking device of N'Gai origin; these were a form of space mine. In the year 22 BBY, Zeta Magnus used a minefield of this type, rendered invisible via cloaking technology, to blockade the planet Marat V. The Republic MedStar-class frigate, the Golandras, while on a mission to assist the plague-ridden planet, entered this concealed minefield and was destroyed in the resulting explosions.
