The codex of Karness Muur was an ancient Sith document, presumably written by Karness Muur, one of the earliest Sith Lords in the Sith Empire. It was translated into Galactic Basic by Naga Sadow sometime before his death in 4400 BBY, and probably before his exile of 5000 BBY.
