Coldppeda
Coldppedas, standing at fifteen feet tall, were domesticated creatures inhabiting the world of Coonee. During his youth, Han Solo, along with Chewbacca, worked as herders of these animals for a period of three years.
Behind the scenes
George Lucas conceived of them soon after A New Hope's debut in 1977, intending them to flesh out Han Solo's backstory. Although Lucas intended coldppedas and their homeworld of Coonee to be used by licensees in the Expanded Universe, they were never actually integrated into Han's life story.
