Combat suit

Combat suits represented one of the most economical and rudimentary forms of body armor widely accessible in the decades leading up to, during, and following the Jedi Civil War. These suit variants were a common sight throughout the galaxy, readily available for purchase from virtually any merchant dealing in armaments and protective gear. Numerous military entities, including the armed forces of the Galactic Republic, alongside mercenaries, lawbreakers, bounty hunters, and even certain Jedi, employed such suits.

The suit itself provided reasonable defense against a variety of assaults, all while prioritizing maximum agility and minimal bulk. Nevertheless, this type of armor was only advised for minor engagements.

The Chiss attack cruiser Springhawk, belonging to Picket Force Two, maintained an armory stocked with armored Chiss combat suits equipped with self-sealing capabilities. Before the Destruction of Special Task Force One, Force Commander Mitth'raw'nuruodo, known by his core name "Thrawn," from the Chiss Expansionary Fleet, prepared a combat suit for the Corellian smuggler Jorj Car'das. Car'das, along with a Chiss armorer, dedicated three hours to ensuring the suit's proper fit, and then spent the remaining hour familiarizing himself with its features. Jorj Car'das perceived the Chiss combat suit to be heavier compared to standard vac-suits. Upon Car'das's return to the Springhawk's bridge, he observed that Thrawn and the bridge personnel had already donned their respective combat suits.
