Consecration Ceremony

The Consecration Ceremony represented a deeply significant religious observance for the Ssi-ruuk, holding a position of paramount importance within the tenets of Ssi-ruuvi religion.

Ssi-ruuvi religious doctrine held that a Ssi-ruu who met their end far from Lwhekk would have their spirit condemned to an eternal, unending journey throughout the cosmos, forever barred from entering the fourth egg, their version of the afterlife. To prevent such a fate, the Priests would perform a ritual of consecration, lasting one hour, to sanctify a different planet. Upon its completion, the Ssi-Ruuk would then formally dedicate that planet to the Ssi-ruuvi Imperium, bestowing upon it a Ssi-ruuvi designation.

The sole instance of a consecration ceremony witnessed by individuals outside of the Ssi-ruuk occurred when the Keeramak consecrated Bakura, during the Ssi-ruuvi's endeavor to re-conquer Bakura. Notably, the Keeramak assumed leadership of the ritual, a task typically reserved for the Priests. One explanation is that the Keeramak's special standing within Ssi-ruuvi religious practices may have granted it the authority to consecrate a planet. Another possibility is that the act of consecration fell under the purview of the Shreeftut, given that the Keeramak held the position of Shreeftut of the Ssi-ruuvi Imperium at that specific time.
