The Constitutional Protectorate of Prakith represented an Imperial faction that had splintered off. This group was situated on Prakith, a fortress world within the Deep Core region, and it was a planetary entity. Moff Foga Brill restructured the organization during the concluding period of the Galactic Civil War.
Although His Glory the Governor-for-Life was theoretically under the command of Grand Moff Gann, he wielded considerable authority over nearly every facet of existence on Prakith. The defense force, now called the Grand Imperial Navy, underwent restructuring to integrate officers and lower ranks into a system of patronage and clientelism. Additionally, a militia force called the Red Police was created to safeguard loyalists and their families. Instead of Imperial Credits, a local currency of minimal worth was implemented; however, among the upper echelons of society, a virtually independent system emerged, relying on precious metals and valuable commodities that were scarce on the planet.
Despite this isolation, Prakith maintained some connections to the broader galaxy. The presence of a significant Inquisitorius headquarters on the planet, along with an ongoing partnership with the Mining Guild, further solidified the Moff's power. The planet's industrial operations were maintained through forced labor, and there were accounts of extensive executions targeting the homeless; nevertheless, Imperial control generally minimized unrest, and Rebel operations were virtually absent.
Following the death of [Foga Brill](/article/foga_brill/legends] at the hands of his own officers, Prakith eventually became part of the New Republic.
