Cooling sleeves were components employed in weaponry, found on both repeating blasters and laser cannons. Their purpose was to manage and reduce the accumulation of heat produced when the weapon was discharged. Starfighters, for example, the T-65 X-wing starfighter manufactured by Incom Corporation, incorporated cooling sleeves at the base of each laser cannon. In contrast, repeating blasters, such as the E-Web heavy repeating blaster, featured cooling sleeves positioned midway down the barrel, situated behind the flashback suppressor.
