Banshee bird

The banshee bird, an indigenous species of bird, originated on the planet Corellia. Its defining characteristic was its piercing, high-pitched vocalizations.

The banshee bird's cry, capable of traveling great distances, served as a hunting tool, startling hidden animals. Similar to other raptors, these birds could be trained by individuals with expertise. Hunters frequently employed them, and affluent aristocrats kept them as companions. A significant drawback was their extreme sensitivity to confinement, necessitating spacious enclosures.

Their loyalty made them highly valued companions: they exhibited devotion to kind owners and aggressively defended them from perceived dangers.

These birds typically inhabited the expansive grasslands and thick woodlands of Corellia, but their presence extended to other planets that shared comparable environmental conditions.
