In the time leading up to the Battle of Yavin by almost two years, the primary resistance factions originating from Chandrila, Alderaan, and Corellia convened in these meetings, leading to the signing of the Corellian Treaty. This treaty served as the foundational document for the Alliance to Restore the Republic, also known as the Rebel Alliance, defining its structure and organization.
These meetings marked the initial unification of disparate resistance cells, coalescing into a tangible menace to the Galactic Empire. The Declaration of Rebellion received its official endorsement during these discussions. Mon Mothma's selection as the Chief of State for the newly formed Alliance, however, generated significant tension between herself and Garm Bel Iblis. Although still in its nascent stages and facing overwhelming odds, the Rebel Alliance had at last materialized into existence.
