Emergency firespeeder
The emergency firespeeder served as a specialized airspeeder crafted for the purpose of extinguishing flames.
Characteristics
Frequently referred to as a fireship, the emergency firespeeder was a specially designed vehicle for fire suppression. Its primary function was to transport significant quantities of water and other fire-retardant substances to effectively put out fires on structures and ships.

Its design incorporated an ablative cockpit canopy, enabling brief periods of exposure to very high temperatures. It was also equipped with emergency running lights, and an extremely loud annunciator and siren. Supplementing their repulsorlift generators, these vehicles used cowled jet engines, which allowed for rapid transit.
A firespeeder had the capacity to carry an entire unit of fire fighters. Furthermore, it contained a medical bay for the initial treatment of casualties before their transfer to a medcenter. It also featured a tractor beam projector for clearing obstructions or extracting injured civilians from hazardous locations.
The firespeeder's tanks were filled with water, foam, and various fire-suppressing chemicals. It had four spray nozzles, one on each wing, all of which could be operated from the main cockpit. An additional co-pilot cockpit was situated at the rear of the firespeeder, potentially for use during emergency situations.
History

During the Battle of Coruscant, the Republic deployed firespeeders to deal with the fiery debris of spacecraft falling into the atmosphere, as the planetary shields had been weakened by intense Separatist attacks. During this time, fire teams were placed on continuous standby.
While tow ships equipped with tractor beams managed to capture some of the larger debris, fragments still impacted the planetwide city, despite the pilots' efforts. Emergency firespeeders belonging to Fire Team Three also patrolled the skies above Coruscant's extensive industrial sector, searching for hazards. One of their final assignments involved extinguishing the burning remains of the Invisible Hand after Anakin Skywalker executed an emergency landing in the industrial sector, following the demise of Count Dooku.
Days later, when the Jedi Temple was engulfed in flames during the so-called "Jedi Rebellion," the fireships remained grounded, possibly under the direct orders of Palpatine.
Behind the scenes
In LEGO Star Wars: The Complete Saga, the emergency firespeeder is featured as a bonus vehicle. Players can automatically assemble and pilot it by collecting canisters distributed throughout the second level of Episode III. Within the game, it is simply referred to as the Emergency Ship.
