The governing group of the Yinchorri people, known as the Yinchorri Council of Elders, presided over Tol-Kachorn located on the planet Yinchorr. Its members were selected from the Yinchorri intelligentsia caste. During the time of the Galactic Civil War, the Galactic Empire took the council members as prisoners as leverage to get Leia Organa, who was present on the planet. Subsequently, the Yinchorri initiated a revolt against the Empire, which resulted in the deaths of all council members and the subsequent annihilation of Tol Kashorn.
