The Crimson Forever was a type of illness resulting from the Great Life Jewels.
A negative aura was generated when the Great Life Jewels were not together. This aura brought about an unusual sickness, causing those afflicted to fall into a coma. The initial sign of infection manifested as a reddish hue in the eyes of those infected, who would gaze blankly and not react when efforts were made to wake them, lending the disease its moniker. Later phases were indicated by the victim's skin becoming completely red. Luke Skywalker is the only known person to have survived Crimson Forever; he experienced vivid visions while suffering from the fever.
