The CS-Mark 12, a holoprojector device, was created by Plescinia Entertainments during the Galactic Republic era. It saw frequent use on Mon Calamari Star Cruisers after those ships were adapted for service within the starfleet of the Alliance to Restore the Republic.

Plescinia Entertainments was the manufacturer of the CS-Mark 12 hologram projection system. Its diameter measured 2.8 meters, and it had the capability to project holograms with a reach of up to five meters. Initially intended for public presentations, the Alliance to Restore the Republic incorporated one of these units onto the Mon Calamari Star Cruiser named Home One during the Galactic Civil War. The unit could receive data through input slots compatible with data disks, datadots, and various other storage mediums, as well as through direct connections from other computers or droids.
Around the device's edge were operator panels, giving users control over parameters like audio level, aspect ratio, playback options, projection dimensions, and rotation speed. The CS-Mark 12 also featured a comprehensive editing suite, enabling operators to refine and enhance the displayed holographic visuals. Using this editing capability, Alliance technicians were able to emphasize key elements and objectives on the Death Star II, including the proposed attack strategy for starfighter squadrons. Furthermore, the CS-Mark 12 was built with an additional flat-screen data display, allowing for the presentation of two-dimensional images.
Before the Battle of Endor, Rebel technicians utilized a CS-Mark 12 to formulate the anticipated attack strategy against the second Death Star. This presentation, which occurred on Home One while it was located in the Sullust system, used holographic displays of Endor and the Death Star, and simulated a successful assault on the battle station.
