This state involved the complete shutdown of all droid functionalities, acting as a built-in defense mechanism within the droid's fundamental programming. Various factors could initiate this response. Nevertheless, the cyberstasis mechanism would fail to engage if the droid lacked prior awareness of the impending trauma. In such cases, the droid would remain operational throughout the traumatic event, leading to the manifestation of strange and unexpected actions.
