Cyceyed

An irascible male Abyssin, known as Cyceyed, frequented Chalmun's Spaceport Cantina around 1 ABY. On one such occasion, he drew a knife against fellow patron Arleil Schous. Tork, the cantina's bouncer, intervened before any harm could come to Schous, forcefully removing Cyceyed from the premises.

Biography

Cyceyed, a combative male Abyssin, was present on the planet of Tatooine. In 1 ABY, he patronized Chalmun's Spaceport Cantina, situated in the bustling spaceport of Mos Eisley. He sat down with a drink alongside a Defel, Arleil Schous. During his visit, the Galactic Empire began to transmit Life on Tatooine, a live holodocumentary. This broadcast reached Kashyyyk, where Wookiees Mallatobuck, Lumpawaroo, and Attichitcuk viewed it with visiting Imperials. The feed then switched to a camera inside the cantina. While on camera, Cyceyed engaged in a heated argument with Schous, ultimately producing a knife from beneath his clothes. As he threatened the still-arguing Defel, Tork, the bar's bouncer, seized the Abyssin from behind, hoisting him out of his seat. Despite Cyceyed's attempts to escape, accompanied by a piercing scream, he was unable to break free from Tork's hold and was ejected from the cantina. Shortly after, the cantina emptied due to a curfew imposed by the Imperials.

Personality and traits

Cyceyed possessed a short fuse, capable of escalating to aggression, even brandishing a weapon during disagreements. However, his attempt to threaten Schous with a knife resulted in his immediate removal from the establishment. Despite his efforts to struggle free from the bouncer, the Abyssin lacked the strength to do so. Cyceyed had white hair and skin with a mottled brown appearance. His teeth were yellow and poorly maintained. The Abyssin's singular eye featured a black iris, though he kept it closed during his confrontation with Schous, which did not hinder his ability to aim the knife at the Defel.

Behind the scenes

Cyceyed debuted in The Star Wars Holiday Special, which aired in 1978. His name was later confirmed in the Star Wars Blog article, The Star Wars Holiday Special Cantina: Who's Who. Cyceyed's mask was the same one used for the cantina patron Myo in Star Wars: Episode IV A New Hope. Additional hair was added to the mask for the holiday special. Although the mask was designed with a functioning eye that could open and close, Cyceyed's eye remained closed throughout the special.
