The Model S-3, a portable force cage, was produced and marketed by Damorind Securities throughout the times of the Galactic Empire and the Galactic Civil War. Often used by bounty hunters, this device shared similarities with force field lockups that Imperial law enforcement agencies frequently utilized. Its usual price was 7,000 credits.
Description
This device featured a synthetic ceramics exoskeleton frame. This frame created a force field, which was projected between the cage's bars and along the frame's interior. The force field was electrically charged to deter captives from trying to push through the bars or break through the cage. The outer frame rails were insulated for easy transport, allowing a person to move the cage without receiving an electric shock. However, incorrect assembly could eliminate this insulation. Furthermore, an exceptionally strong individual could potentially break through the frame by force.
