Danielle Kieran, or Dani as her friends called her, was a highly skilled pilot hailing from Corellia, and she harbored a strong conviction that she was the unacknowledged offspring of Han Solo.
Dani grew up without a father figure. During her youth, she uncovered information suggesting a close relationship between her mother and a young Han Solo, leading her to believe she had discovered the truth about her origins. Corellian spacers tended to share similar appearances and mannerisms. Dani consciously emulated her perceived father's style and demeanor. However, the peculiar sense of recognition some strangers displayed upon meeting her hinted at something deeper than mere imitation and admiration fueling her actions.
Upon reaching adulthood, Dani secured a loan from Talon Karrde to acquire her own YT-1300 freighter, christened the Century Hawk. By the age of seventeen, she was operating her ship from Crystal Web Station, eager to demonstrate her abilities as a pilot. While she kept her suspicions about her parentage secret, she aspired to be a daughter Han Solo would be proud to have. To achieve this, she planned to undertake the Kessel Run, not with the intention of surpassing Solo's record (which she deemed impossible), but to prove her worth as his daughter.
Dani Kieran is among several characters initially presented in articles within the RPG magazine Polyhedron during the 1990s. These articles were co-authored by Bill Slavicsek of West End Games and were designed for use alongside official materials. While their canonicity remains uncertain, these works are considered more reliable than other non-canon sources. Furthermore, elements originating from these articles have resurfaced in more recent canonical materials, for example Merili and the Church of the Dark Side.
