Publisher's summary

Returning to the Tatooine desert dunes, concealed by the Force and accompanied by the hostile Sand People, are Luke Skywalker and Han Solo, driven by Luke's intense desire to connect with Obi-Wan Kenobi. Luke's hope is that the spirit of the former Jedi Knight will guide him in aiding his beloved Callista to recover her lost Force abilities. Haunted and tormented, Luke's quest for Callista's complete restoration as a Jedi is relentless, believing it's the only way to reestablish the bond between their minds and souls. However, unsettling news brewing on Tatooine is poised to deeply affect Luke, Han, and everything they hold dear.

This disturbing revelation unveils the Hutts' clandestine construction of a superweapon, the Darksaber, a replica of the original Death Star. This destructive force is set to fall into the merciless hands of Durga the Hutt, a creature devoid of compassion or moral restraint.

Adding to the peril, the Empire endures. Admiral Daala, still alive and more determined than ever to eradicate the Jedi, has forged an alliance with the defeated Pellaeon, formerly Grand Admiral Thrawn's second-in-command. Together, they are assembling Imperial forces with the aim of obliterating the New Republic.

As Luke, Han, Leia, Chewbacca, Artoo, and Threepio reunite to confront these looming threats, they are joined by both new Jedi Knights and Callista. They must wage war on two fronts, employing superior tactics and firepower against the galaxy's most formidable adversaries. In Darksaber, the Jedi face the ultimate test of their abilities, one where the allure of the dark side is ever-present. Luke Skywalker must delve deep within himself to find the strength to fight for a world where he can not only exist but also embrace love.
