Darlen was a noblewoman, specifically a Human Alderaanian female, who managed to survive the Death Star's annihilation of her homeworld, the destruction.
Prior to its demise, she maintained a friendship with Leia Organa, the planet's Princess. Leia later questioned if she was a secret agent working for the Imperial forces, a suspicion that was later proven incorrect. Darlen eventually wed Tolok, another survivor from Alderaan, and they had a child.
