Dav Kylanu was a male Jedi Master. He served the Jedi Order as the Galactic Republic neared its end, during its final years.
Dav Kylanu, a male who was Force-sensitive, received instruction from the Jedi Order in the ways of the Force. He ultimately achieved the status of Jedi Master. As the Separatist Crisis troubled the Galactic Senate in its last decade, Master Kylanu chose Initiate Antinnis Tremayne to become his Padawan. The Master and Padawan journeyed together across the galaxy. Tremayne gained considerable knowledge during this period, but Kylanu often rebuked him for his overly enthusiastic displays.
When the Clone Wars began between the Republic and the Confederacy of Independent Systems, Master Kylanu assumed the role of General within the Grand Army of the Republic. He commanded clone troopers in battles against the Separatist Droid Army. During a particular mission alongside Tremayne, Kylanu was slain by the Confederacy's forces. Tremayne was captured by agents working for Count Dooku, the Confederacy's leader. After being imprisoned and subjected to torture, Tremayne was turned to the dark side of the Force. He then became a servant of Darth Sidious, the secretive Dark Lord of the Sith.
