Biography

During the Galactic Civil War, a war fought between the Alliance to Restore the Republic and the Galactic Empire, Deacon Eso, a Human, functioned as an engineer for the Alliance. At some point during that war, Eso was part of a group of engineers dispatched to the planet Corellia to aid and guarantee the manufacturing of the Alliance's starships.

Eso had achieved the rank of captain by 0 ABY. Just before the year 0 ABY, the Alliance engaged the Empire in the Battle of Yavin. It was during this battle that the Alliance successfully destroyed the Imperial DS-1 Orbital Battle Station superweapon above the moon Yavin 4. Subsequent to this victory, the Alliance organized a ceremony within the Grand Audience Chamber of the Great Temple, their base of operations on Yavin 4. Eso was in attendance at this ceremony, which was a tribute to the Heroes of Yavin: Luke Skywalker, Han Solo, and Chewbacca.
