Dead-man switch

A Gran pilot with his cockpit rigged with a dead-man switch A dead-man switch was a feature integrated into the grips of speeder bikes, for example, the Ikas-Adno Starhawk. Should the operator release their grip, perhaps due to being thrown from the vehicle, the dead-man switch would deactivate the engine while maintaining power to the repulsors. It could also describe a kind of trap where explosives are set to detonate if a particular state is achieved.
