The Defiant was an Acclamator-class assault ship. Initially, the Defiant was utilized by the Republic Navy in the Clone Wars. During this period, it displayed red markings on its sides, both port and starboard of the central line, and also bore the emblem of the Open Circle Fleet. Subsequently, it was part of the Imperial Navy throughout the Galactic Civil War, at which point those markings had been eliminated.
