The Delta-12 Skysprite was a starfighter/transport designed for two occupants, manufactured by Kuat Systems Engineering for both the civilian market and the use of the Jedi Order.

Kuat Systems Engineering crafted the Delta-12, utilizing the same hull framework as the Delta-7 Aethersprite-class starfighter. This resulted in a long-range reconnaissance craft, distinguished by its extended cockpit designed to accommodate two pilots. Similar to the Delta-7 model, the Skysprite possessed a wedge-shaped configuration. Although the Delta-12 lacked an integrated hyperdrive, it could achieve lightspeed by connecting to a Syliure-31 long-range hyperdrive module. To facilitate civilian sales, the design omitted any weaponry. The Jedi Order utilized this model as VIP transport due to its available storage space and basic amenities. This starfighter represented an improvement over the original Delta-7, featuring enhanced shield technology, robust armor, and an advanced sensor array. Despite the absence of pre-installed weapons, the Delta-12 retained the internal systems of the Delta-7, enabling straightforward weaponization of the vessel.
One of these starfighters, developed in the decade leading up to the Clone Wars, was onboard Outbound Flight at the time of its launch in 27 BBY. The intention was for Obi-Wan Kenobi and Anakin Skywalker to use it to return to Coruscant after remaining on Outbound Flight until its arrival in the Unknown Regions. However, they were compelled to depart earlier via shuttle with Supreme Chancellor Palpatine, thus leaving the Delta-12 on the ill-fated ship. Around 18 BBY, Sienar Fleet Systems acquired the entire Delta line from Kuat Systems Engineering. By the time the Galactic Civil War was underway, the Delta-12 had become exceptionally rare and difficult to find.
Luke and Mara Jade Skywalker rediscovered what was possibly the last of its kind, the Delta-12 left behind on Outbound Flight, forty-nine years following the project's launch. These two Jedi Knights employed the Delta-12 to infiltrate a Dreadnaught cruiser that had been seized by the dangerous Vagaari.
