The Pammant Destruction, a calamitous incident, unfolded not long before the Battle of Coruscant during the era of the Clone Wars.
Throughout the Clone Wars, the subterranean manufacturing facilities located on the planet Pammant were employed in the manufacturing of Separatist warships.
This utilization ceased when the Republic Praetor-class Star Battlecruiser called Quaestor suffered damage to its hyperdrive from torpedo droids. This damage resulted in an unplanned entry into hyperspace, causing the Quaestor to crash into the planet. This collision shattered Pammant down to its very core and contaminated the atmosphere with radiation.
The Confederacy experienced a decline in its capacity to produce ships as a result of the destruction of Pammant's shipyards.
