Doge's Palace
The Imperial palace, situated on Malastare, was the home of Nakha Urus, the Doge who led the Malastarian council; it was also known as the Doge's Palace.
Description
Dugs operated fuel refineries on a vast plain visible from the palace. A balcony provided a space for Mace Windu, a Jedi Master, Anakin Skywalker, a Jedi Knight, and Nakha Urus, the Doge, to speak with Palpatine, the Supreme Chancellor, and Sionver Boll, a Doctor.
History
During the Clone Wars, the Battle of Malastare raged before the palace. A massive droid force advanced to seize it and compel surrender, clashing with Galactic Republic troops supported by Dug artillery and cavalry. Nevertheless, Supreme Chancellor Palpatine gave the go-ahead for deploying the electro-proton bomb, which shut down all droids and vehicles on the battlefield, along with communication devices and other machinery inside the palace.
