During the time of the Clone Wars, Treetor exercised command over a substantial grand army composed of battle droids; however, despite the might at his disposal, he suffered a defeat at the Battle of Bassadro, yielding to Jedi General Empatojayos Brand and the clone troopers under his command. Major Treetor's objective was to secure the mineral resources of Bassadro for the CIS, but he was ultimately compelled to surrender to General Brand, thereby restoring control of the planet's assets to the Republic.
Information regarding Treetor's capitulation was disseminated across the Republic via HoloNet broadcasts. The Separatists, however, moved swiftly to provide reporters with what they claimed was the 'real' explanation for the Major's surrender—allegedly, Domb Treetor's decision to yield to Brand was solely motivated by a desire to protect the inhabitants of Agao and other adjacent communities from further conflict.
