The abandoned ship materialized in orbit above the planet Ord Dycoll. Receiving no response to their communication attempts, the local Imperial garrison dispatched a shuttle to examine the massive craft. As the exploration team began activating controls, the ship realigned itself and deployed its drilling mechanism to pierce the planet's surface, reaching the core and obliterating the world. Following this devastation, the ship jumped into hyperspace and reappeared above Bothawui.
Following the cessation of communications from Ord Dycoll, a subsequent team of operatives arrived to investigate. They rescued a vessel containing survivors, who recounted the preceding events. Later, after docking with the ship above Bothawui, they discovered that faulty wiring had caused the vessel's mining programming to malfunction and spiral out of control. To protect Bothawui and Muunilinst, its subsequent destination, the ship's reactors had to be forced into overload.
