A vulture droid starfighter
Automated starfighters, known as droid starfighters, operated without a living pilot or even a droid; the droids themselves were the starfighters. These starfighters saw action both before and during the conflict known as the Clone Wars. Droid starfighters came in various models, including the vulture droid starfighters, Hyena-class droid bombers, and droid tri-fighters.
