Initially, Durace was a habitable world when the Galactic Republic cruiser, the Galaaron, stumbled upon it during the time of the Great Hyperspace War.
During the era of the Galactic War, a certain pharmaceutical company contracted various people to acquire some extremely scarce and prohibited flowers from Durace, which had medicinal uses when dried and consumed.
Eventually, a catastrophic event devastated the planetary surface.
