Elaine Cunningham

Elaine Cunningham, an American author of both fantasy and science fiction, was born on August 12, 1957. She is a contributor to the series The New Jedi Order, penning the novel The New Jedi Order: Dark Journey and the short stories "The Crystal" and "The Apprentice". Furthermore, she is the author of the short story "Red Sky, Blue Flame." With a literary style often described as poetic, Cunningham is also recognized for her work within the Forgotten Realms campaign setting, specifically the realms of Evermeet, Halruaa, Ruathym, and Waterdeep. She currently resides in New England, living with her husband, their two sons, and a pair of uniquely behaved Siamese cats.

Cunningham is the writer behind the Songs & Swords series, a long-running collection of Forgotten Realms tales. Reclamation, which was planned as the series' conclusion, was originally scheduled for release in November 2008. However, its publication was ultimately cancelled due to Cunningham's inability to meet the required deadlines.
