Espo grenade mortar

The Espo grenade mortar, a mobile grenade mortar artillery piece, used an incorporated repulsorlift system for movement. Rather than providing propulsion, the repulsorlift let a user easily reposition the mortar by pushing or pulling it. This mortar could launch any grenade type, reaching targets up to a kilometer away, and it could hold one hundred grenades.

The Corporate Sector Authority equipped their Security Police with this mortar. An Espo mortar squad was used against workers during a labor disagreement. During the Galactic Civil War, an Alliance privateer attack resulted in the capture of a batch of these mortars, which quickly became popular with Heavy Weapons Specialists in Alliance Special Forces.
