The individual selected by Emperor Palpatine to act as the Galactic Empire's forces' Commander-in-Chief in the Emperor's name was known as the Executor. This role was also known by variations such as Imperial Executor, Military Executor, and Darkside Executor, along with other combinations using those terms.
Following Emperor Palpatine's "rebirth" within clone bodies, he spearheaded a revitalized offensive against the New Republic around 10 to 11 ABY, at which point he appointed Sedriss to the Executor position. After Sedriss's demise at the hands of Ood Bnar prior to Palpatine's ultimate demise, Xecr Nist took over the role.
