The Fairfolk were a species akin to spectral, levitating Jawas. Possessing significant power in the Force, some of them, employed by Darth Vader on Dantooine, tried to lure an unsuspecting Luke Skywalker to the dark side. Their method involved establishing a telepathic connection between Skywalker and Vader, who was located on the Star Destroyer called Conqueror. Leia Organa's appearance broke Luke free from the Fairfolk's hypnotic state.
