The Fial system was a star system located in the Tion Cluster, which itself resided in the Outer Rim Territories of the galaxy. Though positioned coreward relative to the Murkhana system, it was still quite distant from significant hyperlanes, for example, the Perlemian Trade Route. Despite the Galactic Empire's lack of a military presence in Fial, the neighboring Belderone system had extensive fortifications.
