The Figg conglomerate, alternatively known as the Figg empire, encompassed the various commercial enterprises of the Figg family. At its helm was Ecclessis Figg, a hyperspace pioneer. This conglomerate was made up of the Outer Javin Company, Figg & Associates, and also Figg Excavations.
Ecclessis Figg spent his formative years envisioning the charting of new hyperroutes throughout the Outer Rim Territories. This aspiration remained unfulfilled until he rescued Yarith, an Alderaanian aristocrat who was aboard a luxury liner traveling the Corellian Trade Spine. Their subsequent marriage led to Yarith investing her substantial fortune into Ecclessis's initial venture, the Outer Javin Company.
In the years that followed, Figg & Associates and Figg Excavations were established. Ultimately, control of the conglomerate transitioned to the Figg family's successors. During the period of the Galactic Civil War, the family continued to possess its stakes in the conglomerate.
